I’m Monica Meyer, a daughter of immigrants and a military veteran. Originally from California, I found my home here in North Carolina over a decade ago. Photography has become my outlet, a therapeutic path to self-empowerment. Over the years, I've realized that I naturally gravitate toward capturing the strength of women, a reflection of my own journey to rebuild the self-esteem I struggled with for so long. Through my work, I’ve reconnected with a passion from my childhood: sharing the stories of our ancestors, or antepasados, which have shaped me as both a person and a mother.
